The Green New Deal is a bold, intersectional plan for solving the climate crisis, widespread inequality, while creating millions of good jobs in the process. 

But what does that look like and how do we talk with our friends, family, and broader community about its vision? This teach-in covers the nuts and bolts of the Green New Deal in a straightforward and fun way. It is meant for anyone who wants to better understand what the Green New Deal is all about as well as some of the next steps that the Sunrise movement is taking to ensure that this is the decade of the Green New Deal.

On June 5th and 6th, 2021, Sunrise is calling on it’s Sunrise hubs and motivated individuals alike to host your own Green New Deal Teach-in with your community (whether virtual or in-person). The first day of the teach-in will be a nationwide livestream for all to tune in and watch. The second day will empower people to organize their own teach-in experience with a toolkit and support from the Sunrise National team.
