    WE DO NOT SELL, RENT, TRADE, OR OTHERWISE MONETIZE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES. Period. Your data is not a product we sell.

We do not share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or any third parties for their marketing purposes.

    PORTL includes an AI-powered assistant called Porter that helps you discover events. When you use Porter, we share certain information with OpenAI, our third-party AI service provider.

What data is sent to OpenAI:

  • Your query text (the questions you ask Porter)
  • Your city name (if provided)
  • Your approximate location coordinates (if you have enabled location services)

What is NOT sent to OpenAI:

  • Your name, email, or phone number
  • Your account credentials
  • Your profile information
  • Your messages or social connections

OpenAI processes your queries to generate helpful responses. OpenAI’s use of this data is governed by their privacy policy at openai.com/privacy. You can choose not to use Porter if you do not wish to share this data with OpenAI.

Terms of Service

  1. Introduction and Acceptance
    Welcome to PORTL. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PORTL, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“PORTL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the PORTL mobile application (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations.

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, DO NOT USE THE APP. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

  1. Eligibility
    You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to create an account and use PORTL. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to use the App.
  2. Account Registration and Security
    You are solely responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  3. App Features and Services
    PORTL provides a social discovery platform that enables users to: discover and search for local events; create and join groups and organizations; connect with other users; post content and messages; receive AI-powered recommendations; and share location-based information.
  4. User Conduct and Community Standards
    PORTL is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive community. You agree NOT to engage in bullying, harassment, hate speech, stalking, sexual harassment, impersonation, spamming, or any illegal activity.

We have zero tolerance for bullying and harassment. Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination.

  1. User-Generated Content
    You retain ownership of content you create. By posting content, you grant PORTL a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content in connection with operating the App.
  2. Location Services
    Certain features require access to your device’s location. By enabling location services, you consent to the collection and use of your location data as described in our Privacy Policy.
  3. Apple App Store Terms
    If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and PORTL only, not Apple, and that Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms.
  4. Disclaimer of Warranties
    THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. PORTL does not provide medical, legal, financial, or professional advice.
  5. Limitation of Liability
    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PORTL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

    These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
