Julianne Skai Arbor, aka TreeGirl, is an arborist, photographer, educator, naturalist, speaker and author of the 2017 Nautilus Book Award Winner for Art and Photography-winning TreeGirl: Intimate Encounters with Wild Nature—an anthology of photographs and natural history 50 species of trees she encountered and researched. TreeGirl is a professional arborist certified through the International Society of Arboriculture, trained as a veteran tree educator through the Ancient Tree Forum, and certified in Forest Bathing through the International Society of Nature and Forest Medicine of Japan. She has trained as a rites of passage guide, shamanic healer in the Michael Harner tradition, and as a member of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. She is currently Program Director of Forest Ecotherapy, a certificate training in the art of bridging humans with nature through the International Ecopsychology Society. With her passion for trees she creates an experiential bridge for people to connect with wild nature through her presentations, guiding, workshops and trainings, to help us remember that we are nature.
