Marilyn Camacho

Marilyn Camacho is an award-winning actress, producer, writer and director of Puerto Rican Afro-Descendancy from Chicago, where she began her 16 year journey in entertainment as Co-Founder and Artistic Director of UrbanTheater Company and a stage veteran of The Goodman & Steppenwolf Theaters working alongside the likes of the late Chadwick Boseman & Jose Rivera. Marilyn's vision of producing work where the Latin & Afro-Caribbean community saw themselves reflected onstage continues to hold strong as Founder and President of Caribeña Creatives. Prior to C.C., Camacho worked on-screen in hit shows: Scandal, Animal Kingdom, American Gods, Chicago Fire, and The Fosters, to name a few. Behind the camera, Marilyn has produced music videos, influencer and commercial content for top talent and most recently worked on development for actress Nadine Velasquez’s new show, La’ Tina executive produced by Will Smith and Frankie Shaw at Showtime. Now in a full circle moment, Marilyn is thrilled to be bringing Latin & Afro Caribe stories to screen.
