Gayatri Schriefer and Jahanavi Schriefer

Gayatri Schriefer, BScEd, is a co-founder of Living Somatics — offering training programs worldwide in the clinical hands-on work and movement lessons of Living Somatic education. She is the educational director of the Ingle Institute for Somatic Education. Gayatri holds a bachelor’s degree in education, with the focus on health promotion and education. She is a certified Hanna Somatic Educator from the Novato Institute for Somatic Research and Training in California. Gayatri has spent her adult life inquiring into systems that bring about transformation, wellbeing, and spiritual awakening. For the last 20 years, she has been studying and practicing embodied movement, including Hanna Somatics, Equine Somatics, The Feldenkrais Method®, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Body-Mind Centering, Qigong, and several styles of yoga. Gayatri teaches the principle of awareness with slow, mindful movement. She guides clients and students into greater embodied freedom, self-love, and natural self-expression. Jahanavi Schriefer, MSc, MA, BScEd, holds a dual master’s degree in intercultural communication and human rights, and a bachelor’s degree in education, with a focus on kinesthetic learning. Jahanavi has been a part of the Living Somatics team for over a decade, bringing Somatic Education to people around the world. She offers workshops and personal sessions, specializing in coaching clients living with chronic pain. Jahanavi is known for her facilitation of compassionate, transformative space. She has written several research papers in the field of compassion and its power to change our state. Jahanavi was born and raised in Sweden but has lived many years of her adult life abroad in Australia and the Netherlands. In her early 20s, she was introduced to Hanna Somatics, meditation, and compassion practices. These led her to the discovery of her own deep gifts as an intuitive and a seer.
