Barbara C. Wallace, PhD

Barbara C. Wallace, PhD is a New York State Licensed Psychologist, as well as a Professor of Health Education, Director of Health Equity for the Center for Health Equity and Urban Science Education, Director of the Research Group on Disparities in Health, and Director of the Programs in Health Education and Community Health Education in the Department of Health and Behavior Studies at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City. Dr. Wallace is author/editor of nine books, including Toward Equity in Health: A New Global Approach to Health Disparities (Springer) and Making Mandated Addiction Treatment Work (Rowman/Littlefield) — as well as numerous other journal and chapter publications. For her outstanding and unusual contributions to the field of psychology, Dr. Wallace has been honored with the status of Fellow within both Divisions 45 (Society for the Psychological Study of Culture, Ethnicity and Race) and 50 (Society of Addiction Psychology).
