“For those who don’t know her work, let’s cut right to the chase…This chick is a powerhouse. Her voice is dynamic, commanding. Her guitar playing is passionate. She’s spiritual yet grounded, emphatic yet gentle. She’s what you’d call a sister.…”
Aliza Hava is a singer/songwriter whose award-winning fusion of spiritual, socially conscious folk/rock/pop and R&B heals the tiny forgotten bits of ourselves while setting our feet on the path back home. With literate and emotionally resonant lyrics calling us to rise into our best selves, Aliza has toured internationally, performing at events such as A Parliament of the World’s Religions, The United Nations International Day of Peace ceremonies, the United Religions Initiative Global Assembly, and more.
With a strong background in social activism, in 2012 Aliza led the UN International Day of Peace NGO Committee’s Music Team and helped produce concerts on six continents in partnership with PeaceDay.TV. Later that year, she partnered with The Shift Network to produce Harmony in the Holy Land, an extraordinary event that united Muslim, Christian, and Jewish musicians in a universal, musical prayer for peace from the heart of Jerusalem, live broadcast as part of Birth2012.
Aliza’s music has been heard on compilations alongside artists such as Ani DiFranco, Jackson Browne, and Warren Haynes. Her songs are also on the soundtrack of Sharon Stone’s award-winning documentary, Femme: Women Healing the World, along with Annie Lennox and Rickie Lee Jones.
