Yoga for Queer and Trans Folks

Come slow down & nourish yourself in this Body Positive, Queer/Trans Centering meditative practice.

The Class: Join Allé for a one-hour Body Positive, Queer Trans-Centering Yoga class. It will be a meditative, slower-paced, and lighthearted class. Come be your full self with us—show up as you are. Gather yourself and your props and come do some yoga.

The Instructor: Allé K (they/he) is a queer, fat, trans masc-ish activist, educator, and certified yoga instructor. He provides LGBTQIA+ inclusive, trauma-informed, fat-positive yoga classes online. Allé is a spaceholder, a connector and a disruptor.

His classes center people who are usually left out of the traditional yoga spaces like queer, trans, fat, and neurodivergent folks. Allé has been teaching yoga for nearly four years and a weekly Queer/ Trans/ Gender Expansive Yoga class for a year and a half.

Things you might need:

Some props may be helpful—gather a pillow/ bolster, blanket, and blocks/ big books if you have ‘em. Oh, and a yoga mat!

Notes:

Enjoy this live workshop from the privacy of your own space as all workshops are in webinar mode on Zoom. The only person you’ll be able to see or hear is the instructor, and you’ll be able to communicate with the instructor through the chat. Tap into the presence of community knowing your camera is off, but connection is on!
