Virtual Family Art Day: Junk Journaling

June 19 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm PDT

Take old papers, junk mail and more and transform them into a unique and functional journal in this hands-on workshop!

Imagine having a notebook filled with something you loved creating, where every page has a different story to tell. Imagine releasing the “junk” in your head and your home to create beautiful pages of art that capture an experience, a special moment or a source of inspiration.

Join CMATO and CReATE STUDIO for Virtual Family Art Day as we continue our exploration of junk journaling, a mixed-media approach to journal keeping that combines art, writing and collage. In this session, participants will use found and recycled materials, including junk mail, fabric and other ephemera pieces, to record memories, inspirations or thoughts. Write, doodle, paint or collage — there is no right or wrong in junk journaling. Best of all, junk journaling can help you make sense of your thoughts, discover your triggers, explore motivation and gain perspective. What’s not to love?

Admission to Virtual Family Art Day: Junk Journaling is free but preregistration is required. We can’t wait to create with you!
