Paul Taylor and Baroque Music

April 28 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT

An exploration of the interplay of Baroque music in the late choreographer Paul Taylor’s work

During his 64 years as a dance maker, Paul Taylor choreographed several celebrated dances to Baroque music.

Join Artistic Director Michael Novak for an inspiring and entertaining conversation with Taylor Music Director, Composer, and Conductor Don York; Taylor Company alumni Robert Kleinendorst; and Orchestra of St. Luke’s Concertmaster Krista Bennion Feeney as they discuss the interplay of Baroque music in Taylor’s work. Audiences will enjoy dance excerpts from “Airs” (George Frideric Handel); and “Musical Offering” and “Promethean Fire” (Johann Sebastian Bach).
