Mix & Match Grain Salads with Yasmin Fahr
September 14 @ 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm EDT
Join guest chef Yasmin Fahr, author of “Keeping It Simple,” for a class that proves that simple dinners don’t have to skimp on flavor. Together, we’ll make two dishes: curried vegan quinoa with broccoli and lemon-tahini dressing; and warm farro salad with broccoli, peas, leafy greens and feta. But you’re not limited to those exact grains, or even those particular vegetables, because these dishes are the true template recipes for fuss-free, throw-it-together weeknight eating. Yasmin will walk you through how to prepare perfect quinoa and farro, but will also talk you through the steps for mixing and matching with other grains, like bulgur, couscous and wild rice. You’ll learn how to whip up perfect dressings for grain salads and how to use simple techniques, like dressing grains when they’re still warm, to make each bite tastier than the last.
