It all started with the story of a trumpeter/musician named Ralph Beckles who suffered the loss of his life due to dementia. His daughter, Jasmin Uglow, also a musician, was his primary caregiver who relied heavily on the services of the Alzheimer Society. Inspired by their Alzheimer’s journey, Jasmin composed an album entitled, Remember Me. The album offers an artistic glimpse of emotions, changes, and ambiguous loss. Ralph’s story is not unique, nor is Jasmin’s desire to give back, what is notable is the music that derived from such a place and time. Jasmin finds comfort in her ability to retain something beautiful and hopeful that can be shared with others. For your copy of Remember Me, visit Humanity in music’s website…proceeds from the album go towards the Alzheimer Society and helping Humanity in Music continue to support great causes.
