EXPLORING HOW CULTURE SHAPES FREEDOM

Join the Fort Monroe Authority and Fort Monroe National Monument for a dynamic performance and discussion with , the Connie and Marc Jacobson Music Director Laureate of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and the Music Director of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Maestro JoAnn Falletta and 1 LT Elizabeth Elliott the Executive Officer, Chorus OIC, 82nd Airborne Division Band and Chorus of Fort Bragg! Dr. Deborah Di Croce will guide us in a discussion of their music as we explore together the journey their careers have taken as women in a male dominated field and how the Evolution of FREEDOM has impacted and continues to impact the world of Classical Music!

The Evolution of Freedom series seeks to expand our understanding of themes of freedom through the exploration of shared national and international narratives, and expressions of collective memory through the arts.

REGSITRATION AND WATCH OPTIONS: Tickets are free and open to the public BUT there are two ways to watch.
