Join us as we talk frankly about race equity and poverty, with a short play, a presentation and facilitated small group conversation.
In light of Covid-19 and its disparate effects on communities of color, conversations about race and equity are more necessary than ever.
Join us for the next Equitable Dinners: Lift Every Voice on Sunday, January 17 with a focus on Racial Equity and Poverty. The evening will start with a play written by Jordan Ealey, followed by a presentation from Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis, Co-Chair of the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival and small group facilitated conversations.
As we navigate social distancing, it’s easy to be overwhelmed about which issues still need our attention right now.
Equitable Dinners: Lift Every Voice is a free, live series of online conversations, featuring art, guest speakers on a range of topics, and an opportunity to connect with your neighbors locally and around the world to talk about race and equity.
Equitable Dinners: Lift Every Voice will take place one Sunday a month from 5:00 to 7:00 PM through June 2021.
We are engaging several of these topics over the next several months: Racial Equity and Activism, Poverty, Reparations, Whiteness, Prison Industrial System, Maternal Health, and Black Men’s Mental Health.
