Harmony Rose Esqueda

Harmony Rose Esqueda (she/her/Ella) is a BIPOC student and an educator to youth of South Central Los Angeles whose focus is cultivating knowledge around land stewardship and food sovereignty. She creates and teaches curricula that is at the intersection of coding/programming technology and climate literacy. Currently, in her fourth year at the University of Southern California, she is studying Environmental Science and Social Entrepreneurship. Her work is guided by her ancestral ties to Mexico, where she learned first-hand about Indigenous sustainable and culturally relevant food practices. Harmony has worked as an agent of change in her local community through intergenerational community organizing efforts towards education reform and food justice.
