Caseen Gaines

Caseen Gaines is the author of The Dark Crystal: The Ultimate Visual History, which was published last year by Insight Editions and produced with the participation of The Jim Henson Company, in "great conjunction" with the film's 35th anniversary. His previous books include We Don't Need Roads: The Making of the Back to the Future Trilogy, which was featured by The Hollywood Reporter, Vanity Fair, Entertainment Tonight, and other media outlets worldwide -- as well as Inside Pee-wee's Playhouse, which received a Silver Medal at the 2012 Independent Publisher Book Awards and A Christmas Story: Behind the Scenes of a Holiday Classic. He has written for Rolling Stone, The A.V. Club, and Decider on the shortlived "Weird Al" children's television show, the failed and nearly fatal Spider-Man Broadway musical, and an expansive oral history of Howard the Duck that the Internet never knew it needed - but it did.
